Monarch Website Goes Digital?

During my first visit to Monarch Photo, I had a conversation with owner Bob Artz that exposed some interesting history.
At the turn of the century, Monarch Photo began as a photography studio in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  To give you an understanding of Monarch's business, let me share some of my family's business history.  Much like Monarch Photo's beginnings, my grandparents had a photography studio around that time.  Monarch's founders must have experienced many of the same hardships that my grandparent's Carrington, North Dakota photo studio did.  Monarch Photo was one of the first studios to offer film processing to the public.  My parents, who took over the business from my grandparents, utilized Monarch's color photo processing to enhance their photography business.  In fact, many small town photo shops used Monarch's film processing services.  Monarch Photo is a big name in the Upper Midwest world of photography.

Zoom to the present.  Blue Monkey Media is taking Monarch Photo's website into the digital age.  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this distinguished photography business.  We will be enhancing the look and abilities of the existing Monarch Photo website.  This web design will function as a gateway to Monarch's new digital photography services with a sharper, more professional appearance.  It will also inform the online public about the decades of professional experience and expert services of Monarch Photo.  Here is a brief account of their history, from the perspective of Monarch Photo.

Monarch Photo has been serving Minnesota and the Dakotas for 111 years with studio photography, photo processing, cameras, and accessories.  As a family business, Monarch has experienced the transition from glass plates, to film, to the world of digital photography.  We look forward all of the changes that this fascinating industry will bring.
